Stereosandra Blume

肉藥蘭屬

Terrestrial saprophytes similar to Epipogium in habit. Rhizomes tuberous, nodose. Peduncle erect, slender, more or less fleshy, loosely scaly and sheathed. Inflorescence terminal, loosely racemose, with few to many flowers. Flowers pendulous, with connivent perianth; sepals and petals subequal, free, spreading near tips; lip sessile at base of column, entire, base slightly gibbous, with globose calli, without spur; column short, without foot; anther terminal, fleshy, suberect, on broad filament rising from dorsal side of column, 2-celled; pollinia 2, granular or powdery, with slender common caudicle; stigma forming an erect pulvinate structure on apex of column, entire or more or less lobed; rostellum obscure. Capsules pendulous.

One species in eastern Asia, Malaysia and adjacent islands, Taiwan.
