Leaves subsessile or sessile, sparsely puberulous or glabrescent; basal and lowermost leaves obovate or broadly spatulate, 4-6(-7)×2-2.5(-3) cm, obliquely pinnately parted or pinnatifid from apex to center, apex sparsely serrate, middle lobes spatulate, cuneate or narrowly spatulate, 2.5-3.5(-4.5)×0.5-1(-2) cm; uppermost leaves tripinnatifid or undivided; bracts elliptic, lanceolate or linear-lanceolate. Inflorescence paniculate. Heads numerous, ovoid or subglobose, 1.5-2.5 mm in diam.. Outer florets 3-8. Central florets 5-10. Achenes minutely obovoid. Fl. and fr. Jul-Oct.
