Artemisia minima L.
Stems branched at base, branches procumbent. Lower, median and upper leaves about equal in size, spatulate, 7-20 mm long, apex obtuse, base cuneate, narrowed, sessile, margins few-toothed above middle, upper surface green, lower surface pale, glandular punctate, both surfaces sparsely cobwebby hairy or glabrate. Heads depressed-hemispheric, 3-4 mm across, sparsely arranged in leaf axils, subsessile or short peduncled. Involucre 3.5 mm across, bracts biseriate, oblong, equal, pointed, sparsely cobwebby or glabrate on outer surface. Corolla of outer florets small, tubular, 0.2 mm long, green. Corolla of central bisexual florets 0.5 mm long, purple, lobes 4, narrow. Achenes ca. 1.3 mm long, 5-ridged, hirsute. Chromosome number, 2n = 20 (Peng & Hsu, 1978).
