    Stems ascending or arising from creeping base, to 20 cm long, 5 mm in diam., glabrous, succulent, light purple. Leaves ovate, to 5 cm long, 3.2 cm wide, apex acute, base obtuse, serrulate at margins, dark purple and 3-veined on upper surface, light purple on lower surface; petiole to 1.8 cm long. Peduncle ca. 10 cm long, villous, light purple, with 2-4 flowers above. Flowers with hairy ovary; sepals villous abaxially, purple at apex and base, tinged with green at middle, dorsal one ovate, concave, 7-8 mm long, lateral ones oblong, connate and saccate at base, 14-15 mm long; petals white, obliquely obovate, apex acute, base truncate, 7.5 mm long, sparsely villous abaxially, 1-nerved; lip tripartite, 25 mm long, 14 mm wide; hypochile ventricose, base saccate and bilobed, top yellowish, laterally dilated above toward mesochile, minutely toothed at upper margins, sac dark purple, with two lammelate, subquadrate calli inside; mesochile grooved, laterally flanged, flanges lammella-like, turning toothed then 2-4-laciniated at apex, white along middle, dark purple at flanges; epichile spreading, bilobed, lobules white, subrhombic, with acute-angled sinus; column 6 mm tall, bearing 2 large ventral appendages below stigma, appendages lammellate, subrectangular below, conical above, 3.3 mm tall; anther obliquely elliptic, ca. 4 mm long, beaked at apex, flated at back near apex; pollinia oblique, cylindrical, ca. 3.8 mm long, 1. habit; 2. leaf, showing venation; 3, 4. flower; 5. hood; 6. dorsal sepal, inside; 7. petals, expanded and flattened; 8. lateral sepal, inside; 9. lateral sepal, outside; 10. lip; 11. cross section of lip; 12. papillae; 13-15. column, varied views; 16. column, longitudinal section; 17. column, showing clinandrium; 18. pollinarium. ventral view; 19. pollinarium, dorsal view; 20. anther, dorsal view; 21. anther, ventral view. twisted at stalk, stalk joined together and attached to viscidium at one side, elevated and knob-like at other side; stigmatic lobes fused, nearly as single one, ventral; rostellum thick at base, slender and twisted at apex.
