Terrestrial herbs. Stems ascending from a short creeping base, up to 15 cm long, with rosette leaves. Leaves ovate-elliptic, 4.5-6 cm long, 1.5-3 cm wide, acute at apex, cuneate at base, glabrous, deep green with tessellate white network on upper surface, pale green on lower surface. Peduncle 5-10 cm long, hairy, with leaf-like, sterile hairy bracts at base; rachis up to 10 cm long; floral bracts hairy outside, ciliate at margins. Flowers many, secund, whitish; ovary hairy; sepals 9-12 mm long, 4.5 mm wide, hairy outside, dorsal one ovate-lanceolate, concave, acuminate at apex, lateral ones obliquely ovate-lan-ceolate; petals obliquely spathulate, 9-12 mm long, 1-nerved, forming a hood with dorsal sepal, hood slightly recurved at apex; lip ovate, 8-10 mm long, saccate at base, sac globose, hairy within, limb long beaked, acute at apex, 5-6 mm long, with 2 longitudinal keels; column, 6 mm long; anther ovate, shorter than rostellum; pollinia yellowish; stigma slightly elevated; rostellar arms slender, slightly downcurved, acuminate at apex; viscidium elliptic, 1.5 mm long.
