Ophrys unifolia Forst.
Plants 10-30 cm tall. Tuberoids underground, nearly globose, ca. 1 cm across. Stems ca. 2 mm in diam. Leaves solitary, tubular-cylindrical, 10-20 cm long, 3 mm in diam. Spike terminal, peduncle 1020 cm long, rachis 8-10 cm long, with more than 10 flowers subloosely arranged; bracts lanceolate, 2 mm long, acuminate; pedicel and ovary 3-4 mm long. Flowers pale green, 2-3 mm in diam.; dorsal sepal orbicular-ovate, 2.5 mm long, 2 mm wide; lateral sepals elliptic or oblong, 2.5 mm long, 1 mm wide, obtuse, recurved; petals elongate oblong, 2 mm long, 0.6 mm wide, obtuse; lip ligulate, 2.5 mm long, 1 mm wide, margins more or less waved, apex bent downward, base truncate, with 2 globose calli above; column 1 mm tall, auricles finger-like.

Widely distributed from Japan and eastern Asia to Australia. Taiwan, moist sunny grasslands from low to high elevations.
