Vanda amiensis Masam. & Segawa
Stems robust, with many closely distichous leaves, to 10 cm tall. Leaves linear, 15-20 cm long, 2 cm wide, acute and 2-lobed at apex, rigid, coriaceous, recurved. Racemes erect, with 5-15 flowers; peduncle slender, 10-15 cm long; bracts minute, scale-like. Flowers waxy, fragrant, variable in color, mainly yellowish or greenish, with more or less brown spots and longitudinal irregular stripes, ca. 3 cm in diam.; dorsal sepal obovate to oblanceolate, 2 cm long, 1 cm wide, obtuse or retuse at apex, clawed at base; lateral sepals falcate-obovate, 2 cm long, 1.3 cm wide, strongly oblique, apex rounded, clawed at base, obscurely undulate, with brownish-red patches or striped; petals spatulate, 2 cm long, 8 mm wide, apex obtuse, clawed at base; lip yellowish white, 3-lobed, spurred at base, lateral lobes erect, 4 mm long, rounded, midlobe much larger, rectangular-ovate, 8 mm long, 6 mm wide, obtuse or rounded at apex, truncate or slightly auricled at base, disc with few stripes and 2 large erect keels, spur conic, ca. 4 mm long. Capsules ellipsoid, 3- 4 cm long, with stalk ca. 3 cm long.
