Pseudobulbs tufted, fleshy, cylindrical-terete, 10-25 cm long, 1-2 cm in diam., with 4 or 5 leaves at apex, base covered by scales; scales hyaline, membranaceous; internodes 3-5 cm long. Leaves fleshy, coriaceous, elongate-oblong, 10-18 cm long, 2.5-4 cm wide, apex obtuse, base attenuate, articulated with sheath; sheaths ovate-triangular, 1-2 cm long, embracing pseudobulb. Raceme from cavity near apex of pseudobulb, 10-20 cm long, densely flowered; bracts ovate, 4 mm long, 2.5 mm wide, acute; pedicel and ovary 6 mm long, short hirsute. Flowers whitish, ca. 1 cm in diam.; sepals subequal, lanceolate, 7-8 mm long, 2.5 mm wide, glabrous, apex obtuse, lateral ones adnate to foot of column forming short and inconspicuous mentum; petals lanceolate, 7 mm long, 2.5 mm wide, apex acuminate or obtuse, base slightly contracted; lip reddish, erect, triangular-ovate or rhomboid-ovate, 4 mm long, 2 mm wide, apex acute, strongly contracted at base, articulated with foot of column, with 2 dark red keels on disc; column 1.5 mm long, apex truncate, base developed into foot ca. 1.5 mm long; anther hoodlike, 2-celled or indistinctly 4-celled; pollinia 8, ovate triangular.
