APGII treatment: Bignoniaceae
Fl. Madagascar: Vol. 178 (1938)
Note: In addition to the native spp., many exotics have been introduced as ornamentals. These include: Distictis buccinatoria, Jacananda mimosiifolia, Kigelia pinnata, Pyrostegia venusta, Spathodea campanulata, Tecoma stans & Tecomaria capensis. Although many of these grow very rampantly and are capable of becoming naturalised, there are no records of any exotic Bignoniaceae having become established spontaneously in Madagascar.
