Paraguilegia anemonoides (Willd.) Ulbr.
Taprooted plant with rhizomes, loosely caespitose. Scape 25 cm long. Leaves with long (15 cm) petioles and blades 2-3 ternately divided. Flowers light lilac or white, large (3-4 cm in diam), 1 - 3 per stem. V - early spring to mid autumn. Fl - June. Fr - August. P - by seed. Reguires sunny position (eastern sun) and well-drained soil. Very good for the rock garden. Z 5 (4).
Siberia (southern regions), Central Asia (Pamiro Alay, Tien Shan), Iran, northern China and India. In forest, subalpine and alpine zones. On cliffs, on rocky slopes.
