Flower 1--1.8 cm in diam. Sepals 5, 4--5 mm. Petals 5, yellow throughout, 7--10 × 4--7 mm. Stamens 19--22. Fl. Jun--Sep.
Streams, swamps; 1700--4900 m. Gansu, NW Sichuan, Xizang [Kashmir].
This is the only yellow-flowered Batrachium.
