洮南灯心草 tao nan deng xin cao

Plants perennial. Rhizome horizontal. Stems terete, 5--20 cm. Basal leaves 3 or 4, cauline leaves 1 or 2; leaf sheath auricles rounded; leaf blade flat, 0.6--2 cm × ca. 1 mm, apex needlelike. Inflorescences terminal, 3--26-flowered; involucral bract 2--7 cm, subequaling inflorescence. Flowers solitary. Bracteoles 2, ovate, 18--2.5 × 1--1.5 mm, apex obtuse. Perianth segments lanceolate-oblong, 3.1--4 × 1--1.2 mm, subequal or outer ones slightly longer than inner, margin broadly hyaline, apex acute. Stamens 3; filaments 1.2--1.5 mm; anthers 0.5--0.9 mm. Ovary oblong, 3-loculed. Style very short; stigmas brown, 0.5--1 mm. Capsule brownish, shiny, oblong-ovoid, ca. 3 mm. Seeds dark reddish, ellipsoid. Fl. Jun--Aug, fr. Jul--Oct.
