圆口藓属

Plants small, bright green, usually in dense tufts on calcareous rocks. Stems erect, simple or branched. Leaves appressed when dry, reflexed or squarrose when moist, lanceolate, gradually acuminate, usually blunt at the apex; margins plane, crenulate; costa slender, ending below the apex; upper leaf cells small, quadrate to hexagonal, smooth or papillose; basal cells irregularly rectangular. Dioicous. Perichaetial leaves sheathing at the base. Setae straight; capsules cylindrical; annuli differentiated; peristome teeth linear-lanceolate, usually divided, densely papillose, sometimes without teeth or with reduced peristome; opercula conic-rostrate, with an oblique beak. Calyptrae cucullate. Spores yellowish, papillose.

According to Zander (1993), six species were accepted. One species is found from China. Gyroweisia shansiensis Sak. reported from Shanxi province cannot be confirmed.
