A tall evergreen tree. Leaves pinnate; leaflets serrate, oblique. Flowers bisexual, in axillary panicles. Calyx 5-partite. Petals 5, free. Stamens 10, monadelphous; anthers included, sessile on the staminal tube. Disc absent. Ovary trilocular, with 2 ovules in each locule; stigma trifid. Fruit a drupe.
A genus of 2 species, found in Java, Ceylon, India and Indo-Malaya. Represented in W. Pakistan by 1 species.
