Roots fibrous. Leaves compound, petiolate, pinnate; leaflets serrate. Bracts and bractlets present. Flowers white. Fruit ovoid to orbicular, sub-didymous; ridges filiform; pericarp corky; furrows many vittate. Inner seed face plane. Stylopodium conical.
A genus of 3 species, widely distributed in all the continents, which grow in wet places.
