Plants perennial. Leaves petiolate, large, divided, mostly basal; leaflets lanceolate to oval. Umbels simple, arranged laterally. Involucre of small linear bracts or lacking. Flowers white to yellow. Calyx teeth rudimentary. Stylopodium depressed to cup-shaped; styles short, reflexed. Fruit elliptic to oblong, 5-15 mm long, dorsally compressed; lateral ridges winged; furrows 1-2-vittate or vittae obsolete; commissure 2-4-vittate or vittae lacking. Inner seed face plane.
A genus of 5 or 6 Middle Eastern and Central Asian species found in dry and regions. 2 species have been collected from Baluchistan.
