Pollinidium Stapf ex Haines
Tufted perennials with woolly base. Leaf-blades folded or convolute, wiry; ligule a dense ciliate fringe. Inflorescence composed of (1-)2-4 subdigitate racemes, terminal on the culms, the common axis (if present) shorter than the racemes; racemes fragile, conspicuously hairy, bearing paired similar spikelets. Spikelets 2-flowered, falling entire, dorsally compressed; callus obtuse; lower glume sub-chartaceous, convex on the back, the margins neither hyaline nor inflexed, obtuse or acute, 2-3-toothed; upper glume boat-shaped, 2-toothed and mucronate or shortly awned in the sinus; lower floret male with hyaline lemma; upper floret bisexual, the lemma hyaline, linear, minutely 2-toothed and awned from the sinus; palea shorter; stamens 3; caryopsis ellipsoid.
A genus of 2 species in South and Southeast Asia; 1 species occurs in Pakistan.
