Branched shrub or sub-shrub: Leaves alternate, entire-serrate, stipules caducous. Flowers yellow, solitary axillary or in sub-racemes, dimorphic with long and short styled flowers. Sepals 5, imbricate, entire. Petals 5, contorted, caducous. Glands 2-3. Stamens 5, alternating with 5 staminodes; filaments connate at the base. Carpels 3-4; styles 3-4. Capsule globose, 6-8-locular; 1 seed in each locule.
A genus of 2 species, found in N. India, W. Pakistan and China. Represented in W. Pakistan by 1 species.
