Neuroloma exscapum (Ledeb.) Steud.
Perennial, ± hairy with simple or forked hairs, eglandular; rootstock slender, elongated, 5-12 mm thick, woody. Radical leaves rosulate, oblong or narrowly spathulate, entire or irregularly toothed, 20-50 mm long, 5-10 mm broad, stalked, apex rounded or obtuse. Scapes (pedicel) 1-flowered, many, directly borne on the rootstock, 20-50 mm long. Flowers 15-20 mm across, showy, lilac or violet; pedicels (scape) long, slightly thickened in fruit. Sepals 7-10 mm long, c. 2. mm broad. Petals 15-20 mm long, 5-8 mm broad, claw c. as long as the calyx, conspicuously dark veined. Stamens c. 7: 9 mm long; anthers 3-4 mm long. Siliquae 45-60 mm long, 4.5-6 mm broad, oblong, compressed, glabrous; stigma conical, subsessile; seeds many, c. 3 mm long, 2 mm broad, ovtate- orbi¬cular, brown, narrowly winged.
