Differs from var. Potentilla biflora in h aving generally solitary flowering stems, broader leaflets (c. 2 mm.) and bigger flowers (c. 2 cm. diam.).
B-9 Kashmir, Kolohoi Valley Pass, 14,422 to 14,400 ft, earthy slopes, compact cushion, growing over rocks, O. Polunini 56/560 (BM, E, B). Distribution: Kashmir, N. India.
A rare variety collected from few localities in Kashmir, not reported from Pakistan. Found on dry rocky and earthy slopes.
