Suberect perennial, stem glabrous or sparsely pubescent, not winged. Leaf paripinnately compound, leaflets 6-10, 15-40 mm long, 7-20 mm broad, lanceolate-elliptic to orbicular-elliptic, glabrous or sparsely pubescent; stipules 6-18 mm long, lanceolate to orbicular-ovate, semi-sagittate. Inflorescence a 2-6-flowered raceme, peduncle 5-12 cm long. Calyx 9-11 mm long, teeth unequal. Corolla reddish to purple. Vexillum 16-20 mm long. Fruit 3.0-5.0 cm long, 4-5.5 mm broad, glabrous.
