Lespedeza floribunda Bunge, Pl.Mong.Chin. 13. 1833. Parker, For. Fl.Punj.3rd.ed.145.1956; Ali in Biologia 12:38.1966.
Erect shrub, 60-100 cm tall, branches pubescent. Leaf trifoliolate, petiole 1.2-2.6 cm long, pubescent; leaflets up to 2.5 cm long, up to 1.8 cm wide, elliptic or obovate, truncate to retuse, mucronate, silky pubescent above, densely pubescent below; stipules c. 5 mm long. Inflorescence axillary racemes, in the upper portions of the branches, 2.5-3.8 cm long. Bract and bracteoles minute. Pedicel up to 2.5-3.0 mm long. Calyx 5-5.5 mm long, teeth exceeding the tube. Corolla pale purple, c. 10 mm long. Keel blunt. Fruit 6.5 mm long, elliptic, silky-pubescent.

Type: ‘Habitat in montosis prope Pekinum’, Bunge (LE-not seen).
Distribution: Pakistan, Kashmir, China (Hopeh, W.Yunnan, Kiangsu, Kansu, Szechuan, Shansi), Mangolia.
