  • Cracca villosa Linn.

    Perennial, bushy herb; branches appressed pubescent. Leaf imparipinnate, subsessile, c. 5-7.5 cm long; leaflets 11-19, c. 12-22 mm long, c. 4.5-8.0 mm broad, narrowly oblanceolate, obtuse, mucronate, subglabrous to sparsely villous above; densely villous below; stipules up to 8 mm long. Inflorescence an elongated raceme, lower flowers in fascicles, the lowest often in the axil of the leaf. Bract narrowly triangular. Pedicel c. 2-4 mm long. Calyx densely tomentose, tube c. 2 mm long, teeth c. 7-8 mm long. Corolla red or purple. Vexillum up to 11-15 mm long, externally pubescent. Fruit c. 2.5-4.0 cm long, c. 4.5-5.0 mm broad, velvety tomentose, hairs dense, spreading, 6-8-seeded.
