Umbilicus thyrsiflora (Fisch.) DC.
Biennial herbs. Rosulate leaves fleshy, light green broadly elliptical or suborbicular, emarginate, 6-8 x 4-6 mm. Flowering stem 5-20 cm high, simple, erect, glabrous, arising from the axils of the rosulate leaves. Cauline leaves, alternate, sessile, oblong, glabrous, entire, 10-15 x 2-4 mm, cuspidate. Inflorescecne terminal, many flowered, raceme. Flowers 5-merous, glabrous, pedicel 1.5-8 mm long. Calyx 5-lobed, lobes ovate, fleshy, connate to the middle, glabrous, 1.5-2.5 x 1-1.5 mm. Petals basally connate, oblong, acute, entire, white, or whitish pink, glabrous, 5-6 x 1-1.5 mm. Stamens 10, in two whorls, basifixed, dithecous, longer or as long as petals, adnate to the petals, 4.5-6 mm long, anthers black. Nectar scales oblong, 0.5-0.7 x 0.1-0.2 mm. Follicles 5, erect, free, 5-6 x 1-1.5 mm. Seeds12-15 per fruit, ovoid, 0.6-1 x 0.1-0.2 mm.
