Easily distinguished from the above species by the minutely pubescent, less divided and smaller leaves.
Type: Iran: Mt. Elbrus, 3500 m, 11th July, 1843, Th. Kotschy (G).
An obviously very rare species, that is distributed in the mountains of N.E. Iran, Afghanistan, the Pamir-Alai and Tien-Shan. Reported from Kashmir by Drummond and Hutch. (l.c.).
