Dalbergia scandens Roxb.
Climbing shrub, branches sparsely pubescent. Leaf imparipinnate, 7-15 cm long; leaflets 9-19, c. 2.5-5.0 cm long, oblong or obovate-oblong, obtuse or acute, glabrous to subglabrous above, pubescent below; petiolule short. Inflorescence a long, axillary raceme, twice as long as the leaf. Pedicel c. 4-6.5 mm long. Calyx c. 3.5 mm long, silky pubescent, teeth obscure. Corolla pale rose. Vexillum c. 10-11 mm long. Fruit c. 2.5-7.5 cm long, c. 9-12 mm broad, glabrous, narrowed at both ends, 1-4-seeded, wings not more than 1.5 mm broad.

Distribution: Cultivated in Karachi gardens; widely distributed in India; Ceylon; E. Pakistan, S.E. Asia, China and N. Australia.
