Annual, pubescent, usually procumbent, 6-30 cm tall. Leaves obovate, linear-lanceolate, elliptic or linear, mucronate, 4-55 mm long, 1-7 mm board, + margin recurved. Racemes lateral, shorter than the leaves, dense, + truncate, 10-15 mm long. Bracts persistent, shorter than the pedicel. Sepals persistent; outer sepals ± equal, acute-acuminate, glabrous, broadly hyaline margined; inner sepals ovate-elliptic, acute-acuminate, oblique, falcate 3-5 mm long, 1.5-2.5 mm broad, slightly enlarged in fruit, covering c. 1 /2 of the fruit, ciliate except at apex, 3-4 nerved, veinlets anastomosing. Lateral petals longer than keel; keel 4 mm long, crested. Capsule oblong-orbicular, emarginate, 3.5-5 mm long, 3-4 mm broad, glabrous, wing ± 0-0.25 mm, ciliate. Seeds oblong, pilose; strophiole 3-appendiculate, appendages minute.
