Astragalus tenuispinus Bunge
Shrub, branches nearly glabrous. Leaf paripinnately compound, c. 3.5-6.5 cm long; leaflets 20-24, c. 3.5-5.0 mm long, elliptic, obcordate, glabrous above, sparsely hispid beneath; stipules amplexicaul, lanceolate, but not leaving an annular scar. Flowers solitary or 2 in the axil of the leaf. Pedicel c. 5-6 mm long, hispid. Calyx c. 10-11 mm long. Corolla yellow. Vexillum c. 17-18 mm long, glabrous. Wing nearly as long as the vexillum. Fruit c. 1.5-1.6 cm long, glabrous or subglabrous, about 12-seeded.

Distribution: Kashmir; India, N. Punjab, 9000-15000 ft.
