Perennial, c. 50 cm tall. Branches few. Leaves lanceolate to oval, bases narrow, veins 7-9, tips mucronate; upper leaves gradually shorter. Involucral bracts lacking, rarely 1, minute. Rays 5-7, 3-4 cm long, slender. Involucel of 4-5 linear bractlets, 2-3 mm long, veins 3. Pedicels 4 mm long. Fruit cylindrical, c. half as long as the pedicel; furrows 2-3-vittate.
Type: Above Ushu, Swat Kohistan.
Distribution: Swat and Chitral in W. Pakistan.
This species resembles B. lanceolatum but differs in the shape of the fruit which is cylindrical and in the length of the pedicels.
