Plants 30-60 cm tall, pubescent. Leaves mostly basal, long petioled, pinnate; pinnae oval to ovate or almost round, 1-5 cm long, sessile to sub-sessile, pubescent to scabrous; margin serrate. Involucre of a few pubescent bracts or lacking. Rays 10-25, 4-10 cm long at the fruiting stage. Calyx teeth linear. Ovary pubescent. Fruit obovate, white, 6-7 mm long.
Type: Tibet, Thomson 1.9.1948 (K).
Distribution: Himalaya in India and W. Pakistan from 3-4000 m in dry areas.
