Plants c. 50 cm tall, glabrous, branched. Root elongated, c. 1.5 cm thick. Leaves up to c. 20 cm long, 3-4-pinnate; pinnae in clusters; segments linear, up to 1 cm long. Peduncles 6-l0 cm long. Umbels with perfect and sterile flowers. Involucre of 4-6 linear bracts. Rays 5-12, 4-5 cm long. Involucel of 5-6 oval to linear, white membranous bractlets. Fruit pedicel c. 1 cm long. Fruit subglo¬bose, 1.5 cm long; ridges winged, wavy, 4-6 times transversely folded, thick at the base, spongy; vittae numerous, minute. Inner seed face pear-shaped in outline, concave.

Distribution: USSR, Baluchistan in W. Pakistan.
