Annual or perennial, pubescent, 17-34 cm tall. Stems many from the base. Leaves obovate, obovate-lanceolate or linear, retuse, obtuse or acutish, 5-34 mm long, 2-5 mm broad, ± recurved. Racemes terminal and lateral, 2-27 cm. long, lax. Bracts deciduous. Sepals persistent; outer sepals unequal, broadly hyaline margined; inner sepals obovate, 5-6 mm long, 4-5 mm broad, oblique, sparsely hairy above, 3-nerved, veinlets anastomosing, Lateral petals cuneate, 4.5-5 mm long, 3.5-4 mm broad, equalling or longer than keel; keel 5 mm long, crested. Capsule ovate-orbicular, emarginate, 6 mm long, 5 mm broad, oblique at top and base, glabrous, wing 0.75 mm. Seeds obovate, pilose, crowned with bulbous hairs, strophiole 2-lobed, 2-appendiculate, appendages minute.
