    Annual, up to 15 (-20) cm tall, erect or suberect, branched mostly from the base, clothed with stellate, white hairs. Leaves oblanceolate, or oblong-linear, 1-4 (-5) cm long, 5-10 (-30) mm broad, sessile, cuneate, apex rounded, margin entire rarely obscurely 1-3 dentate. Racemes 20-30-flowered, up to 6 cm long in fruit. Flowers minute, c. 1.5 mm across, white, subsessile; pedicel up to 2 mm long in fruit, slightly thickened, spreading or horizontal. Sepals c. 1 mm long. Petals 1-1.5 mm long, Stamens c. 1:1.3 mm long; filaments not appendaged. Siliculae ± broadly obovate, 4-6 mm long, 4-6.5 mm broad; apex truncate; valves glabrous, slightly inflated, veined; margin somewhat compressed; style 0.5-1 mm long with minute stigma; septum not veined; seeds 2 in each locule, 1.5-2 mm long, ovate, brown, very narrowly margined.

    Fl. per.: March-May.

    Type: Cult. at Hort. Petrop. from seeds collected in Arabia Petraea, Schiller (LE).

    Distribution: Egypt, Arabia, Iraq, Iran and Pakistan.

    It seems to be very rare in our area or under collected.
