Annual or birennial, 20-50 (-75) cm tall, erect, sparsely branched above, villous to subglabrous with unequal hairs. Lower leaves 3-5 jugate, pinnatisect, stalked; lobes narrow, 0-2-lobulate; upper smaller, subsessile or sessile. Racemes 20-30 (-50)-flowered, up to 20 cm long in fruit. Flowers c. 3 mm across, yellow; pedicels 6-10 mm long in fruit, spreading or ascending, filiform. Sepals 1.5-2 mm long. Petals c. 3 mm long, 1 mm broad. Stamens c. 1.5: 2 mm long; anthers c. 0.5 mm long. Siliquae (6-) 8-10 mm long, 1-1.2 mm broad, subterete, glabrous; valves convex, 1-veined; style inconspicuous, c. 0.5 mm long with depressed, short stigma; septum not veined; seeds usually 3-4 in each locule, c. 1 (-1.5) mm long.

Type: Turkestan, Tarbagtai, Karelin & Kirilov 95 (LE, K).
Distribution: C. Asia and Pakistan.
There are 2 sheets of Bowes Lyon 978 at the BM: one sheet has plant c. 30 cm tall with immature fruits c. 6 mm long; the other sheet has a plant c. 70 cm long, mounted in 2 pieces and the fruits c. 10 mm long. More gatherings are needed from the area for further studies.
