Annual, 5-20 (-30) cm tall, erect, branched mostly from the base, usually densely hairy with short, branched hairs. Leaves 2-pinnatisect, 20-60 mm long, stalked; lobes short, narrowly oblong. Racemes 10-25-flowered, ebracteate, up to 15 (-20) cm long in fruit. Flowers c. 3 mm across, white or pale lilac; pedicels 1.5-2.5 mm long in fruit, thickened, ascending or almost erect. Sepals c. 2.5 mm long. Petals 4-5 mm long, 1-1.5 mm broad. Stamens c. 2.5: 3 mm long; anthers c. 0.5 mm long. Siliquae 25-40 mm long, 1-1.5 mm broad, linear-terete, erect, straight, conical above, hairy, sometimes almost glabrous; valves with a distinct mid-rib; stigma short, sub-sessile; seeds 10-14 in each locule, c. 1 mm long.
