Allium baluchistanicum Wendelbo in Nytt. Mag. Bot. 10:82. 1963. in Rech.f., Fl.Iran. 76:8.1971.
Bulb cylindrical, c. 9 cm long; coats light dirty brown in colour, reticulate fibrous. Scape c. 50 cm long. Leaves 2-3, filiform, fistular; veins papillatescabrid. Spathe acuminate, persistent. Umbel c. 2 cm across. Flowers 8-15, laxly arranged. Pedicels c. 1 cm long. Tepals elliptic-oblong, white, 3-4 mm long; veins reddish. Stamens included; outer filaments narrow triangular, inner ovate-triangular, each with an unilateral tooth. Ovary verrucose; style included.
Type: Baluchistan, Ziarat, 8500 ft., Lace s.n. (E).
Distribution: Endemic to Baluchistan.
