Bulb ovoid, c. 1 cm broad; outer coats scaly, white. Scape 30-40 cm tall. Leaves 2, linear, 1.5-3 mm broad, glabrous or minutely scabrid. Umbels almost globose. Flowers condensed. Spathe bivalved, persistent, obtuse. Pedicels filiform, 1-2 cm long. Tepals lanceolate, purple, c. 3 mm long, acute. Filaments exserted, inner (3-)5-cuspidate, inner cusps longer than the outer; outer filaments entire, linear. Style c. 2 mm long, stigma capitate.
