Millettia ovalifolia sensu Kurz
A small deciduous tree. Leaf imparipinnately compound, 15-20 cm long; leaflets 5-7, 3-7 cm long, elliptical, obtuse, acute to acuminate, petiolule c. 4-6 mm long; stipels absent. Inflorescence a raceme, c. 5-20 cm long, flowers solitary or fascicled. Bract absent. Bracteoles c. 1 mm long. Pedicel c. 4-7 mm long. Calyx c. 1-2 mm long, glabrous except the margin, teeth inconspicuous. Vexillum 7-8 mm long, glabrous, auriculate. Disc absent. Ovary pubescent, ovules many. Fruit linear, c. 6.5- 9 cm long, c. 1.5 cm broad, glabrous to subglabrous.

Type: Pegu Irrawaddy and Sittang Valley, 3 March 1871, S. Kurz 2605 (K).
This species is native to Lower Burma and Siam but it is cultivated in Burma, India and Pakistan. In Pakistan, it is grown in the gardens at Karachi and Lahore.
