Perennial, c. 30 cm tall, branches glabrous or sparsely pubescent. Leaf imparipinnate, 3.7-7.5 cm long, petiole c. 6-12 mm long; leaflets 5-7-(11), c. 1.8-3.8 cm long, c. 6-12 mm broad, oblong or oblanceolate, emarginate, truncate to mucronate, glabrous above, silky below. Inflorescence a leaf-opposed 6-12-flowered raceme. Bract subulate. Pedicel c. 3.0-4 mm long. Calyx 4.5-5 mm long, pubescent, teeth c. 1.5-2 mm long. Corolla violet. Vexillum pubescent externally. Ovary pubescent, style flattened, glabrescent, stigma penicillate. Fruit 3.7-4.0 cm long, pubescent, 6-9-seeded.
