Tephrosia shamimii Ali in Pak.J.Bot. 3:29. 1971.
Perennial woody herb, c. 45 cm tall. Stem branched, young branches pubescent, hairs white. Leaf alternate, imparipinnate or rarely paripinnate; petiole c. 5-13 mm long, rachis 6-17 mm long, leaflets 1-5, c. 6-21 mm long, c. 2.5-5.0 mm broad, elliptic, acute, glabrous above, pubescent below; stipules 3-5 mm long. Inflorescence an elongated raceme. Pedicel c. 2.5-3 mm long. Calyx c. 5 mm long, pubescent, 2 upper teeth c. 2.5 mm long, 3 lower teeth c. 3 mm long. Corolla bluish white. Vexillum c. 9-10 mm long, pubescent externally. Ovary c. 5-5.5 mm long, pubescent, stigma penicillate. Fruit not seen.
