Diffuse herb, c. 15-20 cm tall, branches glabrous to subglabrous. Leaf imparipinnately compound, c. 2-2.6 cm long, petiole short; leaflets 7-9, lateral leaflets opposite, c. 6-10 mm long, c. 3-4 mm broad, oblanceolate or linear-obovate, apiculate, pubescent on both sides; petiolule c. 1-1.5 mm; stipules very minute. Inflorescence a 3-6-flowered raceme, usually longer than the leaves. Pedicel short. Calyx 2-2.5 mm long, pubescent, teeth subequal to the cup. Corolla bright red. Vexillum c. 3-4 mm long. Pod c. 2-2.6 cm long, linear, straight, torulose, 10-12 seeded; punctate.
