Astragalus ammophilus var. ammophilus
Annual, branched from the base, stem puberulent with appressed or rarely spreading hairs. Leaf imparipinnately compound, petiole c. 1-2.5 cm long, puberulent, hairs spreading, rachis c. 2-3.5 cm long, puberulent, hairs spreading. Leaflets 9-13, c. 3-8 mm long, cuneate-oblong, entire, obtuse to emarginate, appressed-hairy beneath; stipules c. 1-2 mm long, ciliate. Inflorescence axillary pedunculate head, peduncle c. 0.5-5.0 cm long, pubescent, bracts c. 1 mm long, ciliate. Flowers subsessile. Calyx c. 2.5-3 mm long, white-pubescent, teeth c. 1 mm or less long. Corolla violet. Vexillum c. 6-8 mm long. Wing c. 4.5-5.5 mm long. Keel c. 3.5-4.5 mm long. Fruit sessile, c. 7.9 mm long, c. 3-3.5 mm broad, ovate, cari¬nate ventrally, grooved dorsally, glabrous, few-seeded.
