Astragalus hindukushensis Wendelbo
Perennial herb, aerial stem almost absent. Stipules c. 15 mm long, obovate, margins ciliate. Leaf (rachis and petiole) c. 16-26 cm long; imparipinnately compound, leaflets opposite to subopposite, c. 15-20 mm long, c. 5-10 mm broad, oblong, more or less glabrous above, pilose below. Flowers aggregated together. Bracts linear, small. Pedicel c. 3 mm long. Calyx c. 16 mm long, lower teeth c. 6 mm, upper c. 3-4 mm long. Corolla yellow. Vexillum c. 25 mm long, wing c. 23 mm long, keel c. 20 mm long. Style glabrous; ovary pilose. Fruit c. 1.2-2.0 cm long, densely silky, bilocular, c. 15-20-seeded.
