Perennial. Root thick, stem reduced. Leaf imparipinnately compound, c. 5-24 cm long; leaflets 7-25, c. 7-18 mm long, elliptical to oblong-elliptic, acute to subobtuse, pilose on both the sides; stipules c. 6-15 mm long, pubescent. Inflorescence a peduncled raceme, peduncle c. 14-50 cm long, pubescent. Bracts c. 3-5 mm long, longer than pedicel. Calyx c. 8-10 mm long, pubescent, hairs black and white, teeth less than 1 mm. Corolla yellow. Vexillum c. 16-19 mm long, glabrous. Wing c. 17 mm long. Keel c. 16 mm long. Fruit c. 1.5-2.0 cm long, glabrous, stipe c. 12-14 mm long.

Type: In the valley of the R. Toguz-bulak, from the pass Kah-Tezek to the region of Dziland; in the region of Dziland to Bankat, 11000-12000 ft. (LE-not seen).

Distribution: Pakistan, (Chitral;) Central Asia, Pamir Alai.
