Perennial woody herb, c. 18 cm tall. Root thick and woody. Stem covered with persistent leaf bases. Leaf paripinnately compound, petiole c. 5-8 mm long, rachis c. 2-2.5 cm long; leaflets 17-19, c. 5-8 mm long, c. 1-2 mm broad, oblanceolate, entire, acute, glabrous above, pilose below; stipule c. 7-8 mm long, pilose at the margin and tip. Inflorescence a 3-flowered axillary peduncled raceme, peduncle c. 1.5 mm long. Bracts c. 4-5 mm long. Pedicel c. 2 mm long, pilose, hairs black. Calyx c. 13-14 mm long, pilose, hairs black, teeth c. 4-5 mm long. Corolla pale yellow. Vexillum c. 20 mm long, pilose. Wing c. 19 mm long. Keel c. 18 mm long. pilose. Ovary c. 6 mm long, pilose, unilocular, stigma capitate.
