Astragalus canispinus Boiss.
Perennial woody shrub, branches pubescent. Leaf paripinnately compound, rachis woody spiny, persistent, leaflets 12-16, small obovate, sparsely pubescent when young, stipules united throughout with petiole, the tip pointing outwards. Inflorescence axillary, subsessile, 2-4-flowered. Bract minute, lanceolate. Calyx c. 6-7 mm long, pubescent. Vexillum c. 11-13 mm long, glabrous. Wing and keel smaller. Fruit c. 8-9 mm long, bilocular, 3-4-seeded.
