Trigonella monantha ssp. monantha

Prostrate to ascending annual. Leaflets (3)-5-12 mm long, 3-8 mm broad, oblong to cordate-cuneate, dentate or pinnatifid; stipules semisagittate, denticu¬late. Inflorescence sessile, 1-3-flowered, in leaf axils. Calyx campanulate, 5-6 mm long, teeth about as long as the cup. Corolla yellow, 6-8 mm long. Fruit 4-10 cm long, 1-2 mm broad, reticulately netted, many-seeded.

Holotype: (U.S.S.R., Azerbaijan), Talysch, in campis et collibus siccis lapidosis prope pagum Svant, 20.6.1830, C.A. Meyer (LE).

Distribution: Pakistan; Afghanistan; Iran; Syria; Iraq; Turkey; Lebanon, Palestine; Russia, Transcaucasia, Talysh, Turkmenia, Syr Darya foothills,Pamir-Alai, Balkhash, Tien Shan, Kizil Kum, Karakum, Amu Darya foothills; Mongolia.
