Hedysarum spartium Burm.f.Taverniera gonoclada Jaub. & Spach
Perennial shrub, 45-120 cm tall, sericeous, white. Leaf palmately trifoliolate but generally unifoliolate compound or absent; petiolule 0.5-1.0 mm, sericeous, lamina c. 10 mm or less long, c. 8 mm or less broad, entire, obtuse, pubescent on both sides. Inflorescence an axillary pedunculate, 1-3-flowered raceme, peduncle 1-2 mm long, sericeous. Pedicel 1-1.5 mm long, sericeous. Calyx c. 4 mm long, densely pubescent, teeth c. 2 mm long. Corolla pink or pale purple with dark purple veins. Vexillum 9-10 mm long, longer than keel. Fruit 1-2-seeded lomentum, 1 seeded part c. 6-8 mm long, 4.5-5 mm broad, echinulate, sericeous, fruit appendages glabrous to subglabrous.
