Onobrychis laxioflora var. laxifora
Erect perennial, 25-35 cm tall, branched, branches pubescent. Leaflets (3)-9-17, 6-10 mm long, 2-5 mm broad, ovate, obtuse to acute, mucronate, glabrous above, pubescent below; stipules lanceolate, acuminate, pubescent. Inflorescence a peduncled axillary raceme, up to 25 cm long, bracts c. 3 mm long, pedicel c. 1 mm long. Calyx 4-4.5 mm long, pubescent, teeth almost as long as the tube. Corolla c. 15 mm long, pale yellow marked with pink; carina pilose. Fruit semiorbicular, disc-shaped, disc areolate, somewhat spiny, margin furnished with small teeth.
Holotype: Hariab district, on the artificially raised hillocks around margins of field, 7500 ft., 1880, J.E.T. Aitchison (K).
Distribution: Afghanistan, Kashmir.
