Onobrychis nummularia Stocks in Hook.Kew J. 4:146. 1852. Boiss., Fl.Or.2:545.1872.

Annual, the whole plant c. 10 cm or less, stem generally reduced, villous. Stipules lateral, 3-11 mm long, pilose. Leaf uni to trifoliolate pinnately compound leaf, rachis (including petiole) 1-5 cm long, pilose, petiole 1-5 cm long; petiolule c. 1 mm long, pilose, lamina 7-36 mm long, 6-28 mm broad, the terminal leaflet bigger than laterals, orbicular to ovate, entire, obtuse, mucronate, pilose on both sides. Inflorescence the axillary, pedunculate raceme; peduncle c. 15-55 mm long, pilose; bracts 2.5-3.0 mm, pilose. Calyx 7-8 mm long, pilose, teeth 3-4.5 mm long. Corolla yellow, striped crimson. Vexillum 7-8 mm long, pilose externally. Wing c. 3.5 mm long. Keel c. 7 mm long. Fruit almost circular, densely pilose, central disc 5-9 mm in diameter, slightly echinulate and with some irregular parts, ridge 3-4 mm wide.
